What's a good 'thank you' present for nursery staff?

Our DS attends an amazing pre-school and I want to get them something to show we are grateful they are staying open.

I would normally do cake or flowers but they will not want anything homemade.

Any ideas? What would you appreciate if you work in a nursery?

Why don’t you buy them something that the children in the nursery can benefit from in the future?

A bird feeder? Some gardening tools?

If you wanted to get something specifically for the workers, how about hand cream (because of the constant hand washing), or other beauty products?

depending on your budget - vouchers for takeaway coffees or an evening take away. Biscuits or boxed of chocolates for the staff room? Bottle of wine? Something for the workers - the nursery should be providing resources for the children, particularly if it is a private nursery.

I sent in a few boxes of individually wrapped biscuits (so they dont have so much contamination) and a bag of craft bits for the kids to use! Both were gratefully received!

I've got a load of fancy cordials for the staff room before

For teacher gifts (from nursery up to secondary) I've done

Hampers with individual sachets of drinks, packets of biscuits etc

Things like mugs or nice glasses as they seriously get eaten up in staff rooms!

Key rings for staff as every time they use the keys they remember why they got it

Provided things for class like boxes with arts and craft stuff (glue sticks and black bic pens are always great fully received!)

Individual party bags with an individually wrapped cake and a mini can of drink.

It all depends on your budget and if you want it to be something they can keep (keyring £1-2 per person) or something they can consume (coffee etc) or something useful (mugs and craft stuff)

I've varied because sometimes it's been thanks for going above and beyond (residential trips etc) sometimes it's been general thanks for being you and sometimes it's been Christmas or end of year.

But I'm sure whatever even just your words if thanks will make them feel happy right now.

I was also going to suggest a hamper, having just done if for my DS's care staff
It was all "sharing" stuff - packs of nice cookies, luxury tea and coffee, cakes, nibbles, chocolates etc, and they loved it
