Walks

I am pretty sure I heard Huw Edwards just say that you can go for a walk with one other person outside and take children under the age of 11 as they are not included in the walk restrictions.

I cannot find this anywhere online.

Has anyone else seen/heard this or am I dreaming

Maybe he was referring to Scotland's rules? I think children under 12 in Scotland 'don't count', however in England I think they still do. Not sure on the other home nations. It's a crock of shit we don't all have the same rule.

I can't see anything in the England guidance saying under 11s are exempt from the walking rules. The part about being able to exercise outside with one person not in your household specifically says this only applies if you're on your own.

Yes I think you maybe right. I was probably too mindblown to hear stuff properly

There is no mention of children under any age at all being exempt as fas as I can see but you can ever with someone from outside your household.

I think I read last week on the government website that in England, under 5s don't count in the numbers for outside exercise. So anyone 4 or under could accompany an adult on a walk with another adult. This may have been changed following last night's announcement though.
