Anyone had an antibodies test?

I've just done the blood test ready to post today.

Just wondering if anyone else had the test and how long results were taking to come back?

I have been well since March, no symptoms, but did have a terrible cough/temp/fatigue just before Christmas '19. Interested in the results.

I’ve done two (and about to do a third as part of Scottish government study) and they’ve come back within two days.

Just over 24 hours for me.

My results were instantaneous

I did a blood test one from Superdrug in June. It got lost the first time, but they sent me another and in came back in about a week. It was negative but I was told that antibodies don’t last very long. I might have had it in Feb.

I am afraid yours might be negative even if you have had it as the antibodies are likely to have declined.

How do you get an antibodies test? I had one in June through the local authority (I didn't have the antibodies even though our entire household came down with something that sounded very Covid like over Christmas '19), but they haven't reopened that scheme. I've sat in very close quarters to a member of staff who tested positive in October (we share a phone and were working together the day before she fell unwell) though I have never had any symptoms. I'm interested to see if I have had it and been asymptomatic.

I did the Imperial College study one, which is an immediate result one, but I think with a lower accuracy rate than bloods in lab.

Was easy to do and nice to be part of research efforts.

There's a section on the gov website about eligibility, I completed it and was sent a kit.

Yes I've read that the antibodies may not last long but thought it would be interesting (and easy enough) to see, more out of interest than anything.

I was invited to take part in a research study

I had one in July via my workplace. It came back negative despite having had a positive pcr test in april last year. Very inaccurate!
