There's still a helluva lot of room for improvement with test and trace. It's no good if people are not being asked to isolate until 5 or 6 days after their contact happened.

One obvious thing that could be done is to use some of the empty hotels and encourage as many people as possible to isolate away from the rest of their household.

Schools aren't safe though, in any case.

Louise you aren't the only one that believed that. Give happened to mention when a journalist who likes to nit pick every word (or challenge as they call it) asked what's reasonable exercise. He said there was no amount but thinking if London and what he does (5k run which takes 30-40 minutes) he would think an hour is reasonable for a good amount of exercise. I half read it as him saying you'd need an hour to do a decent amount.

Then people decided he said you could only do an hour.

I am pleased that recently my neighbourhood has changed to being very compliant, in the previous lockdown in March/April, they were having parties and regularly out and about, this time not a peep out of them or any of the neighbours, all is very quiet, hardly any traffic, no children outside (although weather could be the reason for that),it feels a lot more like its being adherred to. I hope this in turn will mean the majority of DC of the locals will be less likely to arrive at Nursery/school with the virus, I hope so as my own DD is working in a nursery tomorrow.
