Group of 10 teenagers 😲😲😲!

Surely in a Tier 4 area, groups of ten teenagers shouldn't meet up to go sledging down a private field? There was zero social distancing too!

Those ten will soon be back in a secondary bubble of 100s stuck indoors, so maybe 10 friends didn't seem bad to them?

It’s probably not within the rules but I can’t get worked up about this kind of thing. It’s outdoors and sounds relatively low risk.

To those of you who think that’s fine what would you have though if DH and I (secondary teachers in different schools) had let our children sledge with their respective bubbles? Or even if DH and I decided to go out sledging with our friends (not that we would as we’re mid 40s and would ache next day)/

It’s all about reducing contacts isn’t it?

Sounds like harmless fun tbh. Certainly better than them all being indoors together! Wish it would snow here to give my kids something fun to do!

Great so if one of the 10 has covid, it will now likely spread through all those hundreds of other kids because they wanted to go sledging today. Marvellous! 🙄

I’m a secondary teacher. We are opening on the 11th.

And remote teaching next week.

Outdoors is much less risky than indoors. Better sledging than having an indoor party

Chances are those 10 teens all go to school together. In poorly vented classrooms.
Personally I don't see the harm

Our local ski slope is open in a tier 4 area with snowboarding / skiing lessons.

Honestly would just have thought it was nice to see kids having fun together. Time goes by so much slower for children.

Also, they don't need to move or stop what they are doing for you and your horse. They were there first. You remove your horse from the situation, and mind your own business.

OP, just stop it.
You know nothing about these kids or their home lives. Mental health problems and suicides are rocketing. Just try to have some compassion.

Would you rather they were out causing damage and juvenile nuisance in a socially distanced manner. Leave them alone for goodness sake. You have no idea why they’ve met or what their mental health may be like.

So kids can't go out and enjoy the one bit of snow we do get but you can prance around on your horse 🙄
I'm sorry but what did you expect in a day when it's snowing? All the children to stay at home and not have fun. If it wasn't teenagers having fun it would have been family.

I'm assuming everyone berating OP won't mind the teenagers coming onto their property because you know its been SUCH a hard year for them
