What are peoples experiences here of the covid incubation period?

It is said the incubation period is up to 14 days. Has anyone here experienced a 14 day incubation period?

My partner finished work on Christmas eve and I am anxious that he could have been exposed to the virus through his work. So far he has no typical covid symptoms. He is a bit snuffly today but that is it. He also has a sore back. So my mind is racing thinking this could be the start of a viral infection but there's no typical covid symptoms so he is not isolating. I do think he should be restricting his close contacts. He has past experience of a sore back so it's probably that and not aches and pains associated with a viral infection/flu type illness.

I am probably just super paranoid and I hope I am super paranoid. The poor man tried to kiss me today and I kept my mask on, LOL. I will settle down and become less anxious as the days go by and as the incubation window phases out.

My ds got itchy eyes on 21st, dh and I on 23rd, thought we had conjunctivitis, I had blocked sinuses and what I thought were the beginnings of a cold. By Boxing Day I had a slight cough, by 27th ds had a cough and Dan ds had a temperature, on 28th ds and I got a positive test, 30th dh had a temperature.

Other than I slight cough my main symptoms are a runny nose, blocked sinuses and a sore throat, feels exactly like a cold, they really need to change the official symptoms.

My DP was asked to take a test after an outbreak at work. He tested positive with no symptoms. He assumed he'd stay asymptomatic. 5 days after testing positive and symptoms came on quickly and heavily, and he was very very poorly. So that was most likely 7/8 days after exposure.

I caught it off him too. Not the best present he's ever brought home for me!
