I don't understand why it is a criminal offence for a member of the public to post a video of an empty outpatient department. It doesn't even tell you anything useful - the outpatient department being empty doesn't mean the wards aren't full. In fact it might even mean it's more likely the wards are full.

Granted I haven't seen the post so maybe she was inciting a riot or something, but on the face of it, this seems like a pretty heavy handed policing approach.

She was wandering round a hospital during a pandemic, massless, without consent or consideration of anyone’s confidentiality. She refused to leave when asked. Sounds like a public order offence to me, nothing to do with whatever myths she thought she was exposing.

Singlewhiteguineapig · 02/01/2021 12:34

@TheGreatWave yeah! She’s obviously not ever worked in a hospital

Xerochrysum · 02/01/2021 12:34

I do feel just despair that people posting things like this in the hope to spread the fear in this already scary world.
I wish MNHQ had policy not to let them stand. Some people would believe and get outraged/scared, etc. Making people's ways to act together to fight the virus even harder.

Eugenieonegin · 02/01/2021 12:37

@Rudolphian

She was walking around a hospital without a mask. When challenged she stated she was wearing a scarf and then changed her mind and stated she was exempt and started becoming aggressive towards patients. Filming people and patients. She didnt think about the confidentiality of anyone that was caught in her video and posted it online. She didnt blur any faces. And the things she was saying was disgusting. She was stamping around the place saying how angry she was. I'm sorry but I wouldn't want to meet someone like this, you dont know how violent they are. And there are plenty of idiots online who would take her video at face value. I think she got her just desserts.
Agree, and she is not a citizen journalist she is an anti Covid conspiracy theorist . Very keen on her own privacy but posting patients, without their consent and without a mask in a pandemic.

I'm glad they cracked down on this tbh. These people need a good strong challenge to their world view.
SeldomFollowedIt · 02/01/2021 12:42

She’s a solicitor and she is also a twat. Glad she got arrested I seen her footage.

bathsh3ba · 02/01/2021 12:45

@Xerochrysum I'm not trying to spread fear. I was hoping others might have more context because, on the face of it, it sounded like censorship. If there was more to it than just filming and posting it, then fair enough, but the article did not make that clear.

I did state that the video doesn't prove or show anything and might even support the opposing viewpoint to hers. I also said I thought she had behaved stupidly and disingenuously. So I'm hardly supporting her viewpoint.

You should really watch the video op.
If she wasn't a patient or didn't work in the hospital she had no business being there in the first place.

I did laugh at her anger about the shop, the dark rooms and the stand that showed her blatant lack of hospital experience.

She had no right popping her camera up at ward doors. Would you want your privacy as a patient invaded like this?

tink09 · 02/01/2021 12:48

I am appalled at the footage. Wondering around a hospital with no mask on and being extremely rude when challenged is bad enough. Walking into A&E and filming patients is not acceptable and trying to film into wards.
Then to add further insult, slagged of Macmillan and then the paramedic in the back of the Ambulance. I did notice her clever filming to avoid filming the ambulance waiting area.

Ohdoleavemealone · 02/01/2021 12:49

I heard on the radio that they are trying to make spreadin misinformation around the virus a criminal act.

Maybe this is why.

canigooutyet · 02/01/2021 12:52

Should have been made a criminal act after Wakefield.

Xerochrysum · 02/01/2021 12:56

Don't believe it. I just Googled it and bunch of articles came up. Most said in the title "anti-lockdown activist". Doesn't give me the impression she was innocent person filming the hospital for innocent reason.

DioneTheDiabolist · 02/01/2021 12:59

If main stream media won't do their job then it's no surprise that citizen journalists will step up.
That's the funniest thing I've read all day. Do fuckwits people actually believe she was being a citizen journalist @doublehalo?🙈🤣🤣🤣

m0therofdragons · 02/01/2021 12:59

You have to ask permission to film in a hospital unless you are able to prove it’s “in the public interest” eg abuse of patients.

Changechangychange · 02/01/2021 13:00

You can’t film inside a hospital without express permission (and management follow the crew around to make sure they aren’t filing anything confidential). That alone would be worthy of arrest if she didn’t stop when asked - can you imagine if you were the patient being filmed without your consent? Of course hospitals can’t allow that.

We also have a “no random visitors” policy at present - people have to show either their ID or an appointment letter to security on arrival. So she has already snuck in, and was obviously going to be kicked out when found.

If she was then aggressive or violent when asked to leave by security, no wonder she was arrested.

vera99 · 02/01/2021 13:05

For the curious, if you google bitchute you will find it in that site with "Gloucester covid". Jezza needs to have a word with his nutjob brother to STFU and stop triggering covidiots. Some person has left a good comment on this loathsome video.

Covidisreal2020
This stupid woman. Not only does she enter a hospital without a face mask which she states she's exempt. NOT. She gets mad at the hospital being empty, pathetic. Absolutely clueless bitch. Firstly, this is film Sunday after Christmas, 2nd. Its the fucking outpatients department which is closed at the weekend. Oh thats why the were no cars on the road. She later films from outside a ward in the tower block. Commenting no patients in the corridors on beds. Well the wouldn't be. They would be in the bays or side rooms. As I said absolutely 💯% fucking clueless

draughtycatflap · 02/01/2021 13:07

My suggestion is to sew all these deniers into muppet costumes. If you’re going to spout nonsense you may as well look like the stupid muppet you are while doing it.

DumplingsAndStew · 02/01/2021 13:11

Jesus, I just watched that video. That woman is as thick as a short plank. What a worrying world when there are many people who believe the tripe she is spouting too.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/01/2021 13:13

Citizen journalists like Tommy R?

Anyone who post crap like this needs to be thanked..
For clearly identifying themselves as idiots whose information can be ignored as utter claptrap!

canigooutyet · 02/01/2021 13:15

Wow. This is her arrest video. She posted it when she was released

RedMarauder · 02/01/2021 13:17

@doublehalo

The mainstream media are doing their job. You are both blind and deaf plus unable to access different outlets if you think this.

Outpatients departments will be empty just like doctors waiting rooms are empty because there is a pandemic going on. HCP do not want you waiting in an enclosed space with other people you don't live with.

I had a blood test at the beginning of last month at my local hospital outpatients department. Previously you could just turned up and wait in a crowded waiting room for your turn. Now you have to make an appointment for the next day, turn up 10 minutes max before your appointment time and wear a surgical mask. The waiting room was empty and only one other patient turned up but after I had gone into a cubicle.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/01/2021 13:21

Ah! It's Hicks! One of the Stroud idiots!

If you have time and want to see a small group of deniers wind themselves into paroxysms of fear google them.. Stroud Freedom Rally, Piers Corbyn

They are an absolute hoot!

Cos more grown up words would give them credence they just don't deserve!

DumplingsAndStew · 02/01/2021 13:23
Wow. This is her arrest video. She posted it when she was released
So not the aggressive, arms-twisted up behind her back, handcuffs slapped on, refusal to allow her to dress display that she claims?

Or did that all happen before they started filming?

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 02/01/2021 13:26

Why was she in a hospital when she had no reason to be there? When I went for an appointment just before Christmas there were signs up asking that people attended appointments alone if possible. Are people allowed to visit on wards? She is being disingenuous and shit stirring.

HappyNewYear2021 · 02/01/2021 13:28

I imagine lots of outpatient departments are empty at present if wards are full. Her filming one that is closed currently doesn't really help and buys into the 'virus is not real - government control' crap that some idiots spread around.
