Question about transmission

If someone has had a positive test and recovered, so now has antibodies, is the only way they can transmit the virus through touching something with the virus on it and spreading it that way?

No.

(a) no one yet knows how long a recovered person keeps their antibodies. It may only be a few weeks

(b) if someone does have antibodies in their blood, but picks up viral particles from a new infection, the virus may multiply in their nasal passages & mucus and may be spread from there before their antibodies fight off the infection. This is a known phenomenon with some viruses and the research has not yet been done to find out whether this is a significant infection vector for c19

Thanks for the explanation Kiho. I had assumed that if you had the antibodies then the virus couldn't reproduce but couldn't find an answer on Google. :)
