Just pondering this really off the back of some of the answers I’ve read on other threads. Mainly peoples relatives saying they’re okay to go out / meet someone / do whatever because they “feel fine”.
We know that 1 in 3 people are asymptomatic and it’s also becoming apparent through the many different threads here and peoples experiences that the standard three symptoms the NHS recognise for Covid (temperature, cough, change of taste / smell) don’t always apply or someone may have all kinds of other symptoms.
I just wonder how we get through to people that because they “feel fine” doesn’t mean they aren’t a carrier. I don’t know how to word it properly as my brain is fried at the moment but if the NHS / government website is requiring people with specific symptoms to have a test then it seems to follow that if people don’t have them they think they can do whatever the fuck they like.
Maybe we should all be being tested more (if capacity allows this) rather than asking people to apply for a test if they have certain symptoms. I guess to some extent this is what they’re planning for schools.
