I have been exposed to COVID through work, I took a test because I felt run down and it came back negative. I am one of the only members of staff not to have it (it’s an education setting, v.small and a lot of children are positive too). I had to isolate for 10 days as per the rules.
My sister who I am in a support bubble with has now tested positive 5 days after I finished isolating the first time so I’m back in isolation again!
My husband had COVID back in may and has had an antibody test through work showing that he’s definitely had it. I’m wondering if I have had it and just not had symptoms.
It seems crazy that I’ve been at work where I am in very close contact with staff and in a setting where the child can’t socially distance so have been hugging me, sat on my lap etc and that I’ve been in close contact with my sister been and I haven’t caught it.
If I have an antibody test and it shows that I’ve had it do I have to keep doing the constant isolations? Realistically I’m going to keep coming into contact with positive people at work and until we get a vaccine it’ll be an endless round of isolation. I’ll keep doing it if I have to but currently the thought of forking out £80 so I can stop this sounds very appealing.
