So what does "over it" look like?

All those who are "bored of it", "so over it", "done with it" or "giving it til Easter", what does that look like?

You'll be what? Lounging in a beach, watching a gig, having a nice day at the races?

Cuddling my nearly one year old nephew for about the third time in his life, hugging my Mum and Dad. That would do me.

Rosehip10 · 31/12/2020 20:35

More moaning on Mumsnet and social media usually.

That's a given. Covid has been a gift to people on MN who love a moan.
JM10 · 31/12/2020 20:41

I would assume it means not following the rules anymore? Seeing people they want to, in their homes if they want to.

That's not what I'm doing by the way, it's just all I can think people mean as they can't make life go back to normal in many other ways.

Tellmelies65 · 31/12/2020 20:43

I feel like a lot of people have never followed the rules.

Ah yes because the 'as long as it takes' crew never moan do they?
RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 31/12/2020 20:47

I'm over it.

It looks like: going to work everyday to be snorted on and breathed on by 25 kids, coming home via a shower and a change of clothes, then a sit on the sofa with a laptop on my lap prepping remote learning for people who are lucky enough to keep their children and themselves out of the chaos. I'll be over it hoping I don't give it to my vulnerable partner.

Lemoncheesecake31 · 31/12/2020 20:48

Seeing my parents for the first time since July. They live 5 hours away. My mum cuddling my son again.
Seeing my long distance partner who is 4 hours away.

Not having a dread in my stomach every time I leave the house....or questioning every cough or when feeling slightly unwell. Not afraid to plan things for the future like holidays or days out or get togethers.

Mindymomo · 31/12/2020 20:51

To not wake up each morning panicking what is going to happen. I don’t want much, just my family and myself to be safe.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 31/12/2020 20:55

Seeing my family and friends in their houses.

Lounging on a beach isn't an impossible thought, some people are still going abroad at the moment.

DecemberDiana · 31/12/2020 21:06

In Scotland it is currently illegal for me to cross into a neighbouring council area.

I'm over that tbh.

Meaning I see no point to such an infringement especially when flights come in and out of the country every day.

The avoiding mixing I am on board with!
