Testing question

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? I've heard that you shouldn't retest within 90 days if you have a positive test as it can still show as positive. I've tried searching for this to show that I've not gone mad and imagined it, but I can't find anything!
Does anyone have a link please? Thanks.

maybe this?

The impression I get is that apart from very immuno-compromised people who struggle to successfully fight the virus off, vast majority of people stop being infectious 10 days after first symptoms. and the PCR test detects the genetic material (matching RNA), but can't tell if the RNA is viable (able to replicate).

Thanks very much for that, interesting reading. I managed to find the sentence about it on gov.uk. I just want to have proof in case DD's school aren't happy with me not consenting for her to be tested for the next month or so. Thanks again.
