Age 41. No underlying conditions. With all the best drugs and medical care thrown at him!

Just shows how dangerous this can be no matter what your age.

But don't forget that what we see as well padded vs fat vs obese these days is distorted. He's most definitely overweight, probably not obese no, but really quite overweight. We're blind to how little extra 'overweight' is, and how dangerous that can be medically. I'm so sorry for his children, I lost my parents at a very young age too, theirs and mine.
Bloody hell, the cowardly "othering' " on here is astonishing. You should be ashamed of yourself bringing your personal weight issues up in this thread.

How sad op.

His stomach is giving in to gravity!

Have a word with yourself. You're talking about a person, who's just died, leaving behind young kids. Be a bit more sensitive, eh?

He does have a spare wheel on his stomach.
Anyhow what are the percentages for underlying conditions in populations? Not including weight, is it not around 30 per cent of European population?

bobbiester · 30/12/2020 10:19

This thread is appalling. He just a typical bloke in his 40s.

In the UK 63% of UK adults (aged 18+) are overweight or obese.

He's one of the 63% - the majority.

GawdrestyeJerryMentlemen · 30/12/2020 10:37

Well exactly. Pause for thought for those dismissing deaths as only for those with some underlying condition that they themselves do not apparently have.

MaryLeeOnHigh · 30/12/2020 11:56

Letlow was a bit of a covid denier - he didn't believe in social distancing or wearing masks, and resisted all sorts of public health precautions. There are countless pictures in his facebook and twitter feeds of his attending large gatherings where no-one is wearing a mask. I wouldn't wish this sort of consequence on anyone, but it really is an illustration of the dangers of denial.

ZeroSumTrap · 30/12/2020 12:50

It's newsworthy because he's unusual to have been so badly affected.
