Those who have had COVID-19, what were your symptoms?

Just that really. Apart from the three main symptoms did you have any others and had a positive test result?
There are so many different things on the internet, be good to actually hear from real experiences.
I'm not feeling 100%, just like I'm coming down with a cold, but flipping covid is in the back of my mind 😬

Breathlessness
Tight chest
Faster heart rate
Fatigue
Aches and amounts in my leg
Dangerously high blood pressure - this required hospital admission and treatment, and how I discovered I had covid

After the positive test, I developed:
A bit of a cough
A very slight raised temperature for about an hour or two
A metallic taste in my mouth for a day/afternoon

12 weeks on:
Breathlessness on exertion
Massive flare up of my arthritis symptoms
High blood pressure, despite full dose of medication
Constant fatigue

Day 1 the snots, by day 3 I had a head cold and sore throat with a small fever.

I'm day 9 now and literally just feels like a bit of a cold. I get achey legs and feel tired and weak but I worked throughout (wfh) and honestly if it weren't a covid year I'd just say I had a cold.

My temp only last 3 days, was never very high. The sore throat was the worst aspect of all this, and only because it lasted longer than a "usual" sore throat.

Didn’t have the cough. I was already isolating as my partner had it (he had classic flu and breathlessness but not the temperature or cough) and as I went to bed on day six of isolation I suddenly had a terrible stomach upset and went very faint. Got a test and it was positive. Just felt under the weather - tired and my legs didn’t feel like my own for a few days. I was incredibly lucky as I am very overweight. The fear of getting worse was worse than the virus itself for me, but my partner still isn’t right over a month later.

I'm absolutely fine today, slept for 11hrs and feel perfectly normal. We're not seeing anyone all week and haven't done since before Christmas, but if I feel unwell again I'll have a test.
Really hope that all of you still suffering start to feel better very soon.

I feel very fortunate as I got a few days of really bad headaches, very tired, lost sense of smell and taste for a few days then could smell burnt toast for a few days.

kowari · 28/12/2020 17:21

Sore throat, headache for a day or two, aches in legs and in my lower back at night for a few days, took a paracetamol to sleep. No sense of smell, basic taste for two weeks, occasional cough for three weeks. Could have worked through it easily (if it wasn't a pandemic).

ValancyRedfern · 28/12/2020 17:25

Nausea for one day then loss of taste and smell for a couple of weeks. Just coming back now. No other symptoms. If I hasn't had to isolate I wouldn't have needed time off work.

@Pinkyxx

DD (age 11) has Covid. Started feeling a bit ''sniffly'' within a day progressed to cough / sore throat / headache & tiredness. Cough got terrible, literally non-stop dry hacking. A few days of chest pain when coughing at the peak. She's on day 21 and symptoms only just starting to reduce. Never had a fever.

I would get a test if I were you, for peace of mind if nothing else.

@Pinkyxx you’re the only time I’ve seen a child get it badly. My DD is 12 and was off school for five weeks and we’ve felt like she’s a bit of a freak. It’s taken me ages to get better too. Hope your daughter gets better speedily.
