Covid or perimenopause

I've had some significant peri symptoms over the last couple of years - mainly fatigue, muscle aches (and whole load of other symptoms that have thankfully improved since starting HRT).

During lockdown I've become very unfit as we didn't leave the house in the first lockdown (family shielding) and have been very cautious since, so I'm physically unfit. I'm also working at a desk all day 5 days a week - that last couple of months I've been at a desk up to 12 hours a day.

I thought having time off at Christmas would help recharge my batteries, but I am permanently exhausted. Physically moving is a huge effort.

I'm not sure why. It could be that the perimenopause symptoms have crept up on me, or if I have some kind of low-grade covid (I have no other symptoms).

Any thoughts on what I can do to help this?

I’m the same but going through actual menopause, I ache all over , have no energy and seem to have lost interest in just about everything.

That's definitely me. It's been a huge effort to try to read a book, let alone play with the children. It's a horrible feeling.

Have you had your bloods checked for possible anaemia? I’m like that, but my issue is I’m anaemic.

I would be concerned that your vit D levels are far too low.

I've been taking vit D so I'm hoping it's not that. But I might need to overhaul my vitamins at the moment to make sure I'm getting enough of everything.

Ask your gp if you can increase your oestrogen.

Yep, me too. It really helps to get out and build up exercise. This is hard but honestly really helps.
