Mum has diabetes, and heart disease and dad has IPF. Mum may have caught it during her quick weekly supermarket trip. Im in a T4 area in the other end of the country however my brother is with them.
Beside myself 😟 does anyone have any words of wisdom?

Hi thanks for checking in everyone - im really pleased to say my parents are, unbelievably, definately on the mend.

My brother followed the guidance provided by the lovely posters above and measured their oxygen levels every 4 hours, gave them paracetamol and measured their
Temperature regularly.

They definitely had aches and pains for the first 5-7 days but are feeling a lot better now.

@Ginfizplease i really wish your parents/family members all of the best. My dad has IPF which is a life limiting lung disease and my mum has diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and is BAME so I was extremely worried as both are in higher risk categories for different reasons.

I think its definitely true that different people are affected in different ways as my brother sadly tested postive a few days after my parents and his symptoms were more severe. He is in his 30s and runs marathons so is extremely fit. He wasnt taking vitamin D though, and this may havr been the differentiating factor.

My brother is taking Vitamin D now, and feels as if he is on the mend though

I’m so pleased to hear your parents (and now brother) are doing ok!
A good reminder to keep taking vitamin D too, thank you.
