For all those that have had the vaccine or know someone that has, have they had any side effects, minor or major.

Slightly sore arm for about the 24 hours. Otherwise no problem at allSmile

CaptainMyCaptain · 21/12/2020 14:36

My husband had it (NHS front line and also vulnerable medically). Slightly sore arm but nothing else.

pinkkoala · 21/12/2020 15:45

Do any of You know when you get your appointment from nhs whether you can reschedule, as mine has just come through but am struggling as have something else on. The link at the bottom of the email says press to cancel but doesn't say about rebooking

What else do you have on? Unless it’s really important I’d take the vaccine slot, you may not get another for a while!
yikesanotherbooboo · 21/12/2020 15:56

No side effects at all.
Whether you can change appointments might depend on where you are on the list.
Around here you couldn't change appointments unless you were able to swap with a colleagues, when more vaccines become available it will all get a lot more flexible,

muddledmidget · 21/12/2020 15:59

As far as I'm aware rebooking isn't an option at the moment as the hubs don't necessarily know when their next batch will be. I think you can swap a slot with a colleague for earlier/later in tge session but not to a different session

what do you have to do which is more important!! Unless you physically can't get there I really don't know why you wouldn't rearrange heaven and earth to go. If my appointment was at 3am I would go without hesitation.
Lexilooo · 21/12/2020 16:06

My sister said she had no side effects at all not even a sore arm.

Rosebuddydo · 21/12/2020 16:07

Take the slot. I don't think this is something you can muck around with. Who knows if you'll get a second chance anytime soon. When my husband got the call he said he'd get back to them - I almost died hearing that. I made him ring straight back and it took a while to get through.

pinkkoala · 21/12/2020 16:40

I will be taking the slot was just asking as i do not drive, and its literally just before start of my shift so may be late back for that.
My dp works nights and i am relying on him to get me there, obviously he has agreed to when i told him the time.
I suppose i was panicking about trsnsport issues, but he says just take it else you might not get another one.
So any side effects anyone.

I felt ok for 2 days and then mild fatigue for 3 days and then ok since.

Nacreous · 21/12/2020 16:50

Sore arm here.

I'm pretty tired, but work has been mad for months and I've stopped now I have a few days off so I suspect that's what is causing it rather than the vaccine!

iVampire · 21/12/2020 16:53

XH has had it (NHS) and had a mildly sore arm later that day but it passed off overnight and no other side effects

He could not reschedule - it was ‘have it now or wait an indeterminate, probably lengthy time because we’re not re-ordering the list’

nocoolnamesleft · 21/12/2020 16:57

Sore arm 24 hours, then headache and tired for a couple of days. Know quite a few people who've had it (NHS) and all saying the same.

lunar1 · 21/12/2020 17:05

Dh had a sore arm on the second day, nothing else.

pinkkoala · 21/12/2020 21:07

I have mine booked an hour before i start my shift, hoping that i will be ok.
Have most of your side effects kicked in couple days later.

LyraBelaqua · 21/12/2020 21:20

Just a sore arm the following day.

foodtoorder · 21/12/2020 21:46

None whatsoever 8days later

viccat · 21/12/2020 21:47

My 86 year old neighbour had it about a week ago and she also mentioned a sore arm but that was only for a day or so. Nothing else.

pinkkoala · 21/12/2020 21:48
