We are T4 , PIL are T3.
MIL and FIL are currently both in hospital: FIL is due to be sent home soon, following a mayor op, which went well. MIL has been hospitalised for a short term issue, and since having been hospitalised, has a positive covid test.
There are no family nearby who can help, so DH is planning to go up so FIL can come home and be looked after. If MIL is sent home, she'll have to strictly SI to avoid infecting FIL (both are fairly vulnerable & have health issues).
FIL is concerned DH shouldn't travel, but I'm sure this level of caring responsibilities makes it allowed: but looking at the gov guidance, I can only see end of life care mentioned: which this isn't. Just checking we're not getting this wrong as everyone is in a bit of a flap, I want to reassure FIL, and I can't find clear guidance on gov.uk. (NB DH will have a private C-19 test before going up, to ensure he minimises any possible risk)
