Travelling to areas in the same tier.

I can't quite work out if it's allowed. Situation is we have tickets for an event 25 mins away but in a different county, outside event only our household. It's 'not recommended' but presume loads of people will still do it. WWYD?

It is "advised" to not travel between tiers, rather than not allowed, so there shouldn't be any problem travelling to the same tier to an event that is going ahead.

Thanks, That is what I was thinking, we can't get into bother if we do. Smile

I went away for the weekend last weekend. Both areas were in the same tier and therefore it would have meant losing money if I didn't go. If it's only advised I don't see the problem.

We went to a Xmas event outside in another county but also tier 3. The event only asked those from tiers 1 and 2 to cancel so we still went. We weren’t near anyone and it was outdoors. I d still go if I were you it’s not advised but not illegal. Although I ve been to three different Christmas events now and found them all mega depressing and wished we had just stayed at home!!

If you are tier 3 you are not supposed to leave your local area. That includes don't travel to another area.

The rule might not be law but they are pretty clear.

I think we have all lot out on things this year. Its crap, its annoying, bit if we are still safe and haven't spread the virus, worth it.

I am Tier 2, I can travel, although I am chosing not too.

I have also heard about people coming to my city because restaurants are opening (we have a number of tier 3 counties bordering us). Is getting a drink really that important?

I can imagine many of the locals will stay away from the city centre because of these visitors.

I've got the exact same issue, booked ages ago and due tomorrow afternoon and only just seen comments from people saying they need to cancel but haven't been able to get in touch with event organisers for weeks.
Mines also outdoor and we're going anyway. Just won't post online like we'd usually do!
