Baby testing

I noticed my DH coughing on Thursday which when mentioned he just dismissed. Then when he was at work yesterday (hospitality) I had a tickly cough and my 7mo was coughing a little in her sleep. I did only have a cough once yesterday and it didn't last for very long. My DH has just had a message this morning to say one of his colleagues has tested positive so we have both booked ourselves a test this afternoon. My question is what do I do about my 7mo? Is it worth getting her tested too? If she doesn't have it and we do, then what? There's no isolating from a baby is there so do I just carry on with her as usual anyway? Has anyone else been in the same position and can share how you managed the situation?
Thanks

I tested my baby because she was the only one in the family with symptoms. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for her (although she got over it fairly quickly). But as you will all need to self isolate if one of you has it, then (I think) it makes more sense for you or your dp to have the test.

I think they might just test the adults, in practical terms a baby will need to do what you do.

Only your DH should be tested as he is the only one with symptoms.

Coughing once does not mean you have Covid. Its a continuous cough. At a push maybe your husband should be tested . I dont think your baby does.

I wouldn’t bother testing baby if you’re all going to isolate anyway which you should
