Has anyone tested positive and they’d been taking vitamin d regularly?

Just interested in seeing if it’s had any effect in your opinion? This is obviously not scientific and I know severity is different for all but just looking at opinions.
Ive been taking a high dose for months, dh hasn’t and has tested positive. He’s been very ill with typical symptoms. I’ve been feeling ill but don’t have the usual symptoms. I didn’t test so can’t say if I had it or not.
Just seeing if there are any similar experiences.

Zinc helps prevent viral replication. The standard RDA is 15mg per day, but it's fine to take 30 - 50mg per day medium term. Maybe buy 50 mg tablets and take them every other day or every third day, and everyday if you are exposed to cases. If taking higher daily amounts, look for one that contains copper as higher zinc can throw copper out of balance. Also, shellfish, liver and red meat contain zinc, so eat several portions of those foods per week if you'd prefer to get it from diet. Quercetin and EGCG are complementary to zinc, helping to transport it across the cell membrane, so drink green tea (or green tea supplements), eat loads of colourful fresh fruit and veg for the quercetin... red onions, red apples etc.

I’ve been taking vit D for a while, made sure to do it more regularly during Covid. Tested positive just over a month ago, after DH got it. He doesn’t take vit D. We had similar symptoms (mild, no fever, no time in bed) and I’d say similar severity (ie not severe).

He’s been tested for antibodies for plasma donation and has a medium level. Despite lockdown lard, I’m not heavy enough to donate!

I take vit d everyday and have done for about 3 years due to a deficiency. My husband and I have both recently tested positive but my symptoms are much milder than his. Possibly due to the vit d?
