Literally going out of my mind right now.

My dad got admitted to hospital 2 days ago with low oxygen. He’s been on the mask but now been put on the CPAP machine. The hospital aren’t being very clear about what’s going on right now and I am worried sick. Does this mean he’s not gonna make it? Any positive stories? :(

My grandma is 89 with COPD, she spent a few weeks in hospital with covid last month, she was on oxygen. Updates were pretty vague I think because the staff are so busy, but she's fine and home now. Sending good vibes to you and your dad x

[quote PatsyStone39]I have a friend (38) who was ventilated for 2 weeks and it didn't look good. She's home, absolutely fine, no lasting issues, been away on weekend trips, and from what i can see on facebook, she's enjoying her life.

I was hospitalised too, but very briefly and didn't need any extra oxygen. I'm unfortunately taking longer to recover than my friend - 9 months and my breathing is still sketchy, but i improve a little every month. I know i'll recover fully eventually.

I hope your Dad is okay, love. I'm pretty sure he will be, but it's scary, eh? Keep us updated and i'll look forward to your post telling us he's home.

Hi everyone!

Just an update. They decreased his oxygen and then took him off it completely the following day to see how he coped without it and he was maintaining his sats so they’ve let him home to finish recovering 👏💜

I’m so relieved! Thank you all so much for your kind words and positive stories xx
