We’ve just been for a test at a drive thru site. I was very surprised to see that the 1st person we encountered working there at the road into it had his mask under his nose, as we got to the gates where there 3 blokes, 1 with mask, 1 under his nose and 1 no mask at all. They were all stood within 1 metre of each other.
Is that allowed (but I think still even if I didn’t have to I would!)) because they are outdoors??

Maybe medically exempt.

When we’ve been All people working there wore masks.

I guess outside makes it much less risky for them

I did wonder if medically exempt but not under the nose. I was actually taking my young dd and thought it was a pretty rubbish message to be sending kids though.

They don't get near you though. You have to speak through the window or they tell you to call them on a mobile. I would think it was a very very low risk.

Oh I just meant cos they were stood chatting to each other with no mask on, it seemed a bit weird

Have you tried wearing a mask all day while at work? It's not easy.

I've tried mask wearing all day while doing a reasonably active job. My glasses periodically steam up when I walk up stairs. The mask gets wet and needs changing. It slips down.

I want to have my mask on, but it's not easy when you're working. I assume it's similar for these people. They might pull it down while they're chatting with colleagues, so that they can wear it when interacting with people with possible covid.
