my app went off sunday night.

Just found out the guy who sits next to me in the office (2m distance ish but no ventilation etc) has tested positive too.

Dp was in my office for 15 mind ish on Friday so waiting to see if he needs to come home.

If we both have to isolate can he pick up a click and collect food shop in the car?

No delivery slots available but lots of click and collect. Won't need it till the weekend.

Technically no, maybe someone else could collect it and drop it to you?

If there really are no colleagues or friends or family or neighbours who would help you (and I bet someone would!) then I guess he will have to.

Would he be able to stay in the car whilst staff load it into the boot?

Hoppinggreen · 08/12/2020 10:00

No, he’s not supposed to leave the house if he’s isolating unfortunately
However, it doesn’t sound like he has had notification yet

@ShalomToYouJackie

Would he be able to stay in the car whilst staff load it into the boot?
That's what i was thinking. Parents are in their 70s. Colleagues live in the next city over and most of mine are isolating now.

Friends all have young kid so would be last resort to ask

I've done click and collect where they ask you to stay in the car and just put it in your boot … that sounds like extremely low risk to me.

hm246 · 08/12/2020 10:14

The click and collect at my ASDA Works in this way, you stay in the car, staff bring the items on the trolley then walk away while you unpack into the car. Then come and collect the trolley after you have gone.

You will need to tap into local support which is available. Look on your council website. Or use you friends and family even if a last resort.

Littlebelina · 08/12/2020 10:31

If he's not been told to isolate yet (sounds like it would be borderline) could he pick up some bits now (cravendale milk etc) to see you through if needed? If not there should be an nhs volunteer line who might be able to help

HopeAndDriftWood · 08/12/2020 10:33

When is it ready?

If it’s now, before he gets the alert, then he can.
If it’s after he’s been told to isolate; then no.

It’s probably fairly low risk if he stays in the car and they load the boot but it’s not fair of you to make that judgement for the other person involved.
