Can you spread covid if you had it and got better recently?

Hi, I cannot find data (apart from articles saying that there is no data).

Any study out there?

Teen had cv19 in September (positive test, recovered). Same teen been asked to isolate as close contact to school mate who tested positive.

Teen is doing the self-isolation, this is not a thread on how to get out of it.

I am more wondering how different the situation is for me, in terms of risks when caring for teen, now that teen has had covid.

There are almost no recorded cases of such spreading, and every likelihood that immunity lasts long enough in the vast majority of people - that it is not a risk, so if the previous tests were accurate, then you are at incredibly low risk.

However, 'cos of the multiple chances of the previous tests being wrong (so they didn't have it then, and now have it), the risk of encouraging hazard (you only have to isolate once if you actually get it, better to get it over and done with for almost all of us) etc. it's important she does isolate.

Thanks, interesting. Previous positive test was accompanied by headache, fever (39C) and cold symptoms, so I would tend to think it was correct.

However having one of the co-morbidity factors, I will remain cautious.
