God I'm so bored. Everything has been shut here for ages...

Tier 4 in Scotland. Everything except the odd takeaway shut. Can't remember the last time I was out at night. Have met a friend occasionally but it's always cold and wet, park benches etc sodden.

Telly crap and teenagers utterly bored stuff. Uni online and no mixing. A bloody hard life at 19 and 21.

Just want a moan, I know were all feeling it.

Hope to God we are out of teir 4 on friday, teir 3 isn't much better.

DW hates tv and being indoors. Whereas I can manage to Witter a day away. DC can happily game all day.

Cue friction..

do I fancy sushi from Tescos or a canoe from Aldi...

Oh thank you for that! Grin

I am so glad that I am not the only one who has the wonderful choice of where to go shopping. Dh and I are both retired and I have convinced him that supermarkets only let one person shop per family so I can get away from him.

I miss family as we live in the SW and Ds1 lives in Croydon and DS2 is currently in Thailand as being in the events industry he has no work although fortunately he has a property that he lets out so has some income. DS2 won't be home until next May but we will see DS1 over Christmas.

To make you all jealous I am going to a real shopping centre tomorrow for free time to do Christmas shopping and I will be braving the queue for Primark. I might regret it.

Tier 4 here too. I was in Home Bargains yesterday.

I've been busy with distance learning courses etc so I have something positive to bring out of the year. Being bored hasn't been a problem - advantage of being an only I expect. But I'm longing to be able to spend time with friends and DCs again.

Lockheart · 07/12/2020 13:35

Yes, I'm also bored as all hell. I do a lot of embroidery usually, a good time consuming indoor hobby, but yesterday I found myself looking forward to today so I could do some work and have something else to do besides watch Netflix / Prime and sew.

I want to go OUT. I want to go for a wander in town, go to the cinema, find random shops and buy stupidly overpriced tea and cakes. I want to mooch in and out of the museums and galleries. I want to go on an actual date in a fancy bar.

I'm definitely depressed at the moment. I have chronic (diagnosed and medicated) anxiety and depression so this isn't unusual but the low moods are particularly paralysing right now. I have no interest in anything beyond staring at my phone all day. I can't even be bothered to feed myself half the time and so end up eating snacks or getting takeaways, which isn't the healthy choice!

I am going back to my parents on Thursday having spent the last ten days self-isolating, so I'm hoping a change of scene and a few home-cooked meals and dog walks lifts me out of this funk.

Glad I'm not alone in being bored in t4. I sometimes save my Home Bargains trip for a fri evening so it almost seems like a night out.

This is practically aspirational Grin

NorthernChinchilla · 08/12/2020 14:28

We've had one or the other- or both!- kids having to SI every day since October half term. I've also been signed off work with depression/stress.... so have been practically tied to the house with small children for about 8 weeks.
All the things one would normally do to alleviate it- family, friends, fresh air- are off the cards.

Bastard DH has even stolen the weekly Aldi shop from me, not a sentence I ever thought I'd write Grin!

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 08/12/2020 14:57

Me too. I usually do lots of knitting and sewing. I never want to see a needle of any description again. And I’m bored.

Dh is bored, dd is bored, ds isn’t bored. High spot is a walk. Zippydoo😏
