Sleeping in the garden

When the whole nonsense kicked off in March, there were some media reports of people, mainly NHS staff and those with “vulnerable” relatives who were sleeping in tents in the garden.

Is there anyone here who did that, or do you know anyone who did? If so, how long did that madness go on? Or was it just media hype to create hysteria?

I'm not sure about sleeping in the garden but I know people who have moved out, rented places etc as they work in very high risk environments eg nurses and medics and they live with people who are vulnerable. Seems pretty sensible.

Yes people moved out of family homes (nhs).

The hotel in our town was completely reserved for nhs staff to stay in if they could not stay in family home or if they needed to travel from outside the area for work

Not tents no. But I know people who stayed in caravans etc

My two nieces both lived away from their young children, one for 4 weeks and one for 10 weeks. Both nurses

My neighbours moved their elderly mother in, and slept in tents in the garden so that she could be in the house.
