Self-Isolate?

I work in a very large sized office, if fully staffed would have 9 occupants, but there are rarely more than 5. Currently under minimal manning so usually no more than 3 max. A week ago last Monday (so 9 days ago) someone from outside our office came in to do some work with two people on the very far side of our office. they didn't wear masks and worked in very close proximity all day. On our side of the office we observed the mandatory social distancing and regularly sanitised hands as we always do.

Visitor has now reported he has tested positive. The two members of staff are not showing any symptoms however due to working in close proximity with him all day are now going to self-isolate.

I've looked at the guidelines, and as have no symptoms, was not in close proximity with Postive Guy at any point, have not been contacted by Track and Trace, I believe I am correct in thinking I do not have to self-isolate. However another colleague who only comes in once in a blue moon, thinks I should be 'doing the right thing' and also self-isolating?

What do you think?

Unless they developed symptoms before last Wednesday nobody has to self isolate.

A colleague of mine has tested positive.

We've been advised that nobody has to self-isolate unless they were within 2 metres of her for a minimum of 15 minutes during the 2 days before she was contacted by track and trace to isolate herself.

We have an office of around 15 people and that only just applies to 3 of them; 2 who sit nearest her and 1 she had a meeting with.

I'd say the people at the far side of the room are fine.

Ps.. colleague is asymptomatic but had been in proximity to someone who tested positive so had to first isolate herself and then test.

If it's nine days since he was last in the office you don't need to self isolate.

Thanks all, your opinions have reassured me!
