Person a tested positive for Covid has been mixing households and person a even stayed there. Person b and c who’s house it was have got a Covid test despite having no symptoms and now returned to work. This happened within a few days. Person a has now traveled back to their own home.

B and C are stupid because without symptoms it just means that they don't have COVID on that day. They should be isolating for 14 days.

Hellomoonstar · 01/12/2020 16:47

No. I don’t like reporting people. Especially since I don’t know the real reason they possibly broke the rule. The possibility are endless. Did person a go there to try and convince someone not to self harm? Did the two households social distance? That seems to be ok, in lot of work places. Did person b and c employers bully them or misinform them of the self isolation rules?

User5666 · 01/12/2020 16:55

No person a was in there home as she didn’t want to pass it on to people in her own family.

No. What can be done about it? You do your thing leave others to do theirs.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 01/12/2020 19:32

No. I wouldn't report anything. I wouldn't even know who to report to!

Hugosmugo · 01/12/2020 19:40

Who are you planning on reporting to?

User5666 · 01/12/2020 22:07

These people could potentially be infecting people with Covid.

OP posts:
Krazynights34 · 01/12/2020 22:17

They probably are. Getting them fined won’t change that. They aren’t going to be put in quarantine you know

Choirbells · 01/12/2020 22:37

Yes I would absolutely report, people like to stand back and not give a damn

HeddaGarbled · 01/12/2020 22:39

Nope.

When people say they are considering "reporting" others I always wonder what mythical authority they will be reporting to.

Who will you report them to?

No. I wouldn't bother, but then I don't believe in this culture we have created of "friends" and neighbours snitching on each other.

Councils & police have avenues for reporting.

@WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants I know they technically have, but certainly round here they pretty quickly began discouraging it when they became overwhelmed with reports of people sitting on park benches.

I still dislike the current snitch on neighbours and friends culture and will not indulge in it for any reason at all.

And if it's anything like here, they have said there is "no appetite" for enforcing any of "the rules".

And if it's anything like here, they have said there is "no appetite" for enforcing any of "the rules".

That is exactly what they said here in the last lockdown. One local police force (I'm on a county boundary) did even try visiting the supermarkets to view the non-essentials aisles (define non-essentials anyway) and there was a huge backlash. They stopped.

The same force also decided to set up road blocks to assess whether or not journeys were essential. They even turned back doctors, nurses and other hospital staff as not essential!! Cue masses of complaints, including from the hospital which was dealing with a lot of Covid patients at the time and couldn't get it's staff in to work because of them.

They went away with their tails between their legs and haven't pulled that shit since.

Few people report around here now. I'm rather glad of that. I have generally reasonable neighbours, thankfully.

I wouldn't report. You don't know the full facts and all you have are assumptions reached from curtain twitching. Ignore, and forget about it.
