Good about the outdoor sport as well

I really hope this is right. Will make such a different to my DD to return to football and I'm looking forward to doing at least some of my Christmas shopping not online, though I'm sure the queues will be horrendous.

Orangeblossom7777 · 23/11/2020 10:24

I'm looking forward to swimming again.

Ffs ... I hate my job and the thought of going back is stressing me out ... btw I AM training in a different field so I can leave the wretched place but it’s going to take the best part of a year

Hugosmugo · 23/11/2020 10:26

I really want to know what the rules will be about households mixing indoors in all tiers. Keeping a distance obviously

Orangeblossom7777 · 23/11/2020 10:27

It seems stricter on households mixing I think

Orangeblossom7777 · 23/11/2020 10:28

Yes sad for those who don't enjoy their jobs I guess

"It seems stricter on households mixing I think"

Can't get stricter than no mixing households, which is where we were before in tier 3 🤷🏽‍♀️

bathsh3ba · 23/11/2020 10:32

Household mixing seems to be the big driver unfortunately.

EasterIssland · 23/11/2020 10:35

I hope household mixing in banned when no needed (vulnerable/support bubbles) it's one of the main reasons why we're here and nobody will be controlling whether auntie Doris is 2m far away or not from me so we won't keep the distance.

glad they're opening most of the places, despite I've mainly stayed at home this year there are things I'd like to do in dec so glad they'll be opened again

Hugosmugo · 23/11/2020 10:42

I hope they don't ban household mixing. Those who won't keep a distance indoors are those who will mix indoors even if we aren't allowed. So why spoil it for others?

WB205020 · 23/11/2020 10:43

From what i have heard, and my gut feeling, lockdown will be lifted, however we will all be effectively in at least tier 2. There will be no indoor mixing of households, but outdoor sports and small meetups (under 6 people) will resume.

Xmas will allow mixed households for 4-5 days then nothing again. NYE will be cancelled. No mixing allowed and if the numbers jump early january the whole country will be put into lockdown again.

I just hope people are sensible about this and dont go crazy thinking its a new freedom with no consequences.

Any news on air b&bs and hotels?

Any news on air b&bs and hotels?
I'd like to know this too. I am hoping to visit my parents early Jan.
bathsh3ba · 23/11/2020 10:50

Actually, Telegraph is saying:

Tier 1:
rule of six indoor and outdoor
pubs and restaurants table service only
non-essential shops open
cinemas open
gyms open

Tier 2:
no household mixing indoors, rule of six outdoors
pubs and restaurants only allowed to open if substantial meal served
non-essential shops open
cinemas open
gyms open

Tier 3:
no household mixing indoor or out but rule of six applies in some outdoor situations
Pubs and restaurants takeaway only
Non-essential shops open
Cinemas shut
Gyms open

bathsh3ba · 23/11/2020 10:53

I think most places will be tier 2 or 3 though and not many in tier 1. My ward is currently at 271.3 and down from almost 400 at the peak, so I hope we may squeeze into tier 2, but I think the county level is higher.

Stopandlook · 23/11/2020 10:54

What about hairdressers? 🤔

HotChocolate12 · 23/11/2020 10:55

How do we think the tiers will be applied? I am sure they was some talk of doing it regionally to simplify things, but this seems tricky when there is such variation within regions (assuming they mean West Midlands, North West etc as regions)

Orangeblossom7777 · 23/11/2020 11:12

They are putting the areas into tiers Thursday so guess we will know then.

storminabuttercup · 23/11/2020 11:20

I'm wondering about hotels too. We are booked for a weekend away out of our area, i haven't seen any info on if travel within the U.K. will be allowed

HotChocolate12 · 23/11/2020 11:24

@Stopandlook

What about hairdressers? 🤔
I think I read a suggestion somewhere they may not be allowed to open in tier 3, but I am not sure if that is just speculation
IfIHadAHeart · 23/11/2020 11:37

Tattooists? 🤔

SomethingM1ss1ng · 23/11/2020 11:49

Are people expected to go back into offices?
