Has coronavirus killed celebrity culture?

Recently I have been thinking that the diversion of the global pandemic has distracted attention away from celebrity culture.

It even occurred to me that Caroline Flack might be here today if the pandemic happened a couple of months earlier as the media would probably not have pursued her today to the extent they did then.

What are your thoughts?

She must be in the throes of some mid life crisis or something.

Funny that the first positive cases were celebrities - Idris and Hanks? Felt like someone was trying to sell coronavirus to me. I felt fine, no symptoms etc

Caroline Flack sadly killed herself as she was ill. It's too simplistic to think the press 'murdered' her. I find these threads ghoulish.

I think with the arrival of the vaccine, we will be right back where we were by this time next year. Probably before. Depressing.

I wish it was true but I doubt it - and let's face it, it's not about them, it's about people who like to follow them and approve/disprove/admire...it sells the papers and magazines.

The press didn't kill Caroline flack. The notion that they did is a hide disservice to the understanding of mental health difficulties and is abhorrent.
