Our swimming pool has let families book 1 hour slots. You get sole use which is nice.

My DCs resumed swimming lessons Sept-Oct, ironically in one of the highest rate boroughs at the time (due to uni-students, who don'r tend to use that complex). No issues. I hope it won't be long before they return.

We haven't done casual swimming only because of the logistics of pre-booking a private hire of half a swimming pool. I tend to be spontaneous about going swimming as a recovery exercise and again that's not compatible with the Covid -Secure measures.

I was going three times per week prior to lockdown. We had to arrive pool ready and only access changing rooms when finished.
I was happy with the measures in place to minimise risks.

Sounds like you have access op?

I’ve been speaking to several people today and I’m shocked at how many people are still going to gymns, indoor training, men’s 5/side - seems so many still open on the side. I knew a couple that were but I work 20 miles away from home and colleagues say they also know or are attending gyms and classes still

I would be in my pool in a heartbeat if open.
Define what "safe" means to you, OP.

I have 100% confidence there is no way I'd catch covid at any of the pools I've been in, this year.
