Why on earth did Boris not hold his meeting virtually?

Totally unnecessary for him and the MPs to have met face to face surely?

The advice is to work from home where possible, why on earth did they not follow it?!?

HMCTS are using cloud video platform for secure conferencing, including confidential hearings. I'm sure this could be used by the government for all but the most sensitive meetings. I don't know the details, but the fact that Anderson widely shared a photo of their meeting suggests it can't have been all that confidential.

But they wouldn't have had the chance for their photo opportunity with the big man if they'd worked virtually

It seems Boris is a liability on zoom though (incendiary comments about devolution already) so I'm sure he'll quickly be back to face to face, behind closed doors, with an aide present to gag him when necessary. Valid point .
