Seems to be a month of Karma;dying without any intervention from covid must have been excruciating;it's a shame it wasn't worse really....

Bluethrough · 13/11/2020 14:14

I think what he did was absolutely appalling but I still can't be pleased that anyone has suffered the horrible death that Covid-19 causes

If its true he refused treatment, then perhaps he died choking and in great pain and suffering?
No more than he deserved, he was beyond redemption.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 13/11/2020 14:14

KARMA!!!! It’s just a shame he lived so long at taxpayers expense

But also I feel so sad for the families that will never know and so will never have closure. That must be truly unimaginable pain Flowers

See, part of the reason why I'm against the death penalty, is because I think staying alive and having to suffer remorse and guilt and knowing you will never be free and you are loathed by everyone for what you did is much, much harder. Although I suppose we will never know if he did feel any remorse.🤔

@Calmandmeasured1

Bit weird too that the BBC have a brief clip of a work colleague. Apparently they all knew and joked about it. They did not know. They joked about him being the ripper because he was taken in for questioning so many times and released. The interviewee even said something at the end like 'and look at him now'. They were shocked as it was a joke that turned out to be the truth.
Oh, good. Way the clip was worded made it sound they knew he was the ripper.

I found it hard treating men tbat cane from a jail well known for housing rapists and serious sex offenders at risk to society. They'd be handcuffed to the bed and somebody from the prison was always there.

I was civil, but did not engage in more than basic conversation. Often these men would fake injuries to get 1/2 nights out of prison.

This is a definite exception to the idea that every Covid death is a tragedy.

KitKatastrophe · 13/11/2020 21:46

Is it a "horrible" death? I'm genuinely asking. Isn't it similar to flu or pneumonia, which are pretty common causes of death? If someone told you their gran died of flu or pneumonia you wouldnt be shocked or saddened that they had a horrible death. Obviously no deaths are fun, but is covid really one of the most horrible?
And if you're close to dying surely you would be sedated or on painkillers. If you're on a ventilator, you're not conscious.

BIWI · 13/11/2020 21:51

@KitKatastrophe he refused treatment, so I'm guessing he wouldn't have been sedated, on painkillers or a ventilator.

Good.

He was a truly evil man and he deserved to suffer. And I hope he suffered long and hard.

Another here who was living in the shadow of his murders - in Leeds. If I went out anywhere with my girlfriends we never went anywhere on our own because we were all terrified of him.

At one stage my dad was even interviewed by the police as, bizarrely, a description of the Ripper had been given which was my dad to a 't'. (Clearly it wasn't him, as my dad was a red head and looked nothing like Peter Sutfliffe - but it was a truly worrying time - not only being fearful of what was going on, but then wondering if it could possibly be true that the Ripper was my dad!)

throwaway100000 · 13/11/2020 21:53

Poor Marcella. I feel so sorry for her after all she has gone through. I remember watching a documentary on this bastard and the police initially discounted Marcella’s testimony🙄

BIWI · 13/11/2020 21:56

Here's a link to his victims, and also how he killed them

@Calmandmeasured1 you might like to read this and then re-think your views

catscatscatseverywhere · 13/11/2020 22:04

Another one bites the dust. One less to live off taxpayers money.

throwaway100000 · 13/11/2020 22:15

I find it ironic that Peter sutcliffe was attacked a few times whilst incarcerated - each time he snitched and reported the attacks to police, tried to get his attackers the harshest punishment etc. Yet look at all the fucked up shit he did to his own victims.

copperoliver · 13/11/2020 23:00

They should have hanged him years ago a waste of money keeping him and others like him alive.

Quaagars · 13/11/2020 23:13

Can't say I've shed any tears.
His poor victims and families Sad

MaxNormal · 13/11/2020 23:30

I wish they hadn't bothered reporting about him dying. Should have just quietly tossed him in the waste incinerator.
