couriers

Just had a parcel delivered by fedex. Courier knocked on and insisted on handing it to me and wasn't wearing a mask.
Amazon have dropped a few parcels and leave it on the door, take a photo and then email to say its there so you can go and collect it later.
The postman tends to knock and I'll look out the window and then he leaves.
Are others finding that couriers/delivery people are more like Amazon or more like Fedex?

Amazon have been leaviing parcels by the door, ringing the bell, taking a photo and going to the bottom of our steps (about 17 feet away). They then wait until I open the door and put my thumb up. Recently I noticed that one of their couriers didn't do this and insisted on handing me a large, but extremely light, parcel whilst not wearing a mask. Hermes tend to ring the bell and walk away, stopping by their vehicle. I'd prefer if they stuck to standing back and would love it if this became a permanent way of working for them.

None of our couriers are wearing masks, why would they, they are outside.

As for handing it to you, not sure what the real difference is between leaving it on the floor, he was still 2 arms lengths away from you for what, 5 seconds?

Generally they are left outside and they take a photo. I always open the door and step back though regardless.

I would just take it if it was offered at hand height.

Absolutely dreadful for their backs though.

All of them jump back like we must be carrying leprosy.

Lazypuppy, I wouldn't object to no mask if they did what other couriers did and left it on the door.
My issue is they are going door to door handing parcels to people without masks.
He wasn't two arms lengths away, it was probably one arm maximum.
For reference my anxiety is through the roof because I'm in an area that is one of the highest cases per 100,000.
Thanks for the replies, I was just a little surprised because most of the deliveries since March haven't handed parcels and if they have have had a mask on.

I had a courier who made me sign my name on their phone, completely threw me, my hands had my babies lunch on. No idea who it was because it was a neighbours delivery, not a common courier.

Other than that some couriers hand over, some drop on the floor. Doesn't bother me.
