My parents both tested for covid over 3 weeks ago.
No temperature now for over a week, but my dad still has a cough and breathing difficulties, he got sent for an xray last week showing covid changes to his lungs.
They have both been incredibly unwell and as expected havent managed to keep on top of the house work, does anyone know what the time frame is for them still being positive?

I read the guildlines and it says about being able to visit support bubble, is that correct?
I dont want to break any rules, and i also do not want to catch covid but they really could do with my help getting on top of things at home.

As far as I know yes you are fine. You could ask them to leave the room you are cleaning, and /or wear a mask and gloves and an apron. Change your clothes ASAP after leaving?

I checked this the other day before meeting friend who'd tested positive. From what I read, it was ok to meet people again if you'd been symptom free for three days.

Thank you both for your replies
The only symptoms left is the lingering cough and breathing difficulties, but that could go on for some time

I'd go and help.. With control measures to protect yourself.
So ask them to stay in one/2 room while you are there. Get them to open all the windows/doors in rooms you will be in before you arrive. Wear gloves. If you can get a decent mask... Ffp2 or upwards I'd wear that

Depends what job you have? They probably aren’t infectious but if your a teacher, NHS worker, cater etc. You should probably not do it. Otherwise go help and then isolate/be extra careful.
