I'm unsure of the rules in this scenario. Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I live with 2 secondary age dc's
I work at their school
I have an adult daughter who was here on Sunday with cold symptoms (snotty mainly)
She's now more poorly and going for a Covid test today.

Do the kids and I need to do anything while adult dd waits for results?

Thanks.

No, I don't think so unless she lives with you

Mandalalorianna · 03/11/2020 11:14

No she doesn't. Thanks.

If she tests positive then you’ll need to isolate.
If you know you’ve had sustained contact with her then I’d be isolating before then too.

Velvetpeel · 03/11/2020 11:16

That’s my understanding anyway

dementedpixie · 03/11/2020 11:23

I'd maybe be more socially distanced out of the house until she receives the results

Mandalalorianna · 03/11/2020 11:24

Thanks @Velvetpeel could you tell me where you've seen that? I have tried looking at various websites but just get tied up in confused knots!

Track and trace contacts anyone who’s had contact with someone who tests positive in the previous 48 hours who have had contact for more than 15 minutes distanced. Or 1 min under 1 metre. I think if you google track and trace criteria it’ll give you the info.
To me it’s common sense that if you’ve been in contact with someone who may have Covid that all those who had recent direct contact isolate until the test comes back negative?

Is she in a support bubble with you?

I would like to know this too. My mum has symptoms and gone for a test. I saw my mum on Saturday went for a coffee but stayed 1 metre apart. I'm sure I don't have to do isolate until her test result is positive. We don't live together

Mandalalorianna · 03/11/2020 15:40

@dementedpixie no, she's not
