Hi everyone Smile

Does anybody have any further information on how coronavirus affects babies? I'm unable to find much online.

My little one is only 3 months old but I'm so worried about her catching it. We haven't been seeing any family members or going to any baby groups etc whilst this is all going on so I'm worried her immune system is still very low. Once this new lockdown is lifted, I would like to start getting the baby out and about a bit but I'm just scared.

Does anybody know of any little ones contracting the virus and how it has affected them? Are there any other mummies feeling the same way and how are you dealing with all of this?
Thank you in advance x

Congratulations with your new baby! Statistically it is still quite rare for a baby to get coronavirus but I know a friend whose 6 month old potentially got it. He was never tested but both her and her DH were tested positive for it and were really poorly. Her son’s main symptoms was temperature and bloody diarrhoea but they both had classic symptoms of Covid. All of them have made a full recovery and her son doesn’t seem to be showing any after effects. I’ve just been really sensible with my baby and made sure people aren’t touching her (random strangers love touching her when we’re out!) and just practicing social distancing. We’ve enjoyed spending all the time together a family and really bonding so take the chance to enjoy your baby Smile
