Anxiety about catching it

I feel like it's almost inevitable now - I'm in London and a lot of people I know are self-isolating. I've developed a scratchy throat today and am now really anxious. I'm T1 diabetic and there's conflicting advice about vulnerability.

The biggest thing for me is everyone seems to react so differently to it.

Anyone also feeling very anxious?

Flowers I am sorry you are anxious. You're not being silly, even if you are very probably worrying in a way that isn't really in direct proportion to risk.

I'm not worrying very much suddenly. I've got more angry about the whole shitshow which is occupying my mind Grin.

All I can suggest is self-care, acceptance of your worry, and try to focus on the fact that even amongst those with the main covid symptoms - your are about five or six times more likely to test negative.

That's such a kind post @BefuddledPerson, thank you. I will try to take your advice.

Are you in a high risk job? It's not inevitable you will catch it and remember a lot of people are asymptomatic so you may have already had it, or have it but not even realise.

Take what precautions you can, take control of the things you can control and dont worry about the things you can't.

The idea that it targets younger people with underlying conditions is a myth or the average age of death wouldnt be 82. Your chances of dying from covid under 45 are around 67,000 - 1
