We’re going about our normal Sunday (DS’s hobby with friends, lunch afterwards at one of their houses) and it feels a bit surreal.

Like we’re playing in the string quartet on the titanic!
Ds has been looking forward to the Halloween special of his weekly hobby and whilst it’s still legal we’re going ahead but know life is going to change next week.
Anyone else having a normal Sunday?

A normal Sunday is just the two of us anyway, so, yes a normal Sunday.
We are already in tier 3 so haven't been meeting up with amyone anyway.

We went to a theme park yesterday and we were planning a quiet one today as we have had a really busy half term and the kids wanted today free to chill at home. But if we had plans today I would still have gone ahead with them!

We've booked entry to the museum in our town centre (for me, DH and toddler DS) and were planning to have lunch out afterwards - bit worried that town will be a bit apocalyptic...

I'm in ROI and we have a similar lockdown, in place since Thursday week ago, to the one that is being introduced in the UK next week. So mid term wasn't much fun for the kids as other than walks within 5 km we couldn't do much else. Managed to do a few fun things with them like order their favourite treats online and watch a scary movie with them last night and get out for a few walks. Couple of takeaways and got them some clothes online.

In tier 3. My normal life has been pretty much full lockdown since march anyway. I can't see an end to it. The only difference this time is that the kids will be back to school tomorrow. I don't think I can cope as a working single parent if I have to home school again.

Yes off to visit my Local DP later, and will FaceTime my D.C. and other family members around the country this evening. Went out to the non essential shops yesterday.
Will now need to postpone visits to see them although I hadn’t made and fixed plans or bookings as I always expected this would happen.

Same, but different, in that our plans haven't changed but they're very different to what we would have been doing 12 months ago. I'm going for my second dose at the vaccine trial, and we're going out for lunch instead of going to my parents' (tier 3).

Yep not locking down before I have to I learned last time...it goes on too long (it will never be four weeks!) so you need to do everything you can while you can!

My hairdresser rang last night to bring forward my hair appointment (originally booked for next week) to today. They’re trying to see as many clients as possible before Thursday so are opening Sunday and evenings till then. I’m going, but I feel a bit anxious and guilty about such blatant rule breaking, even though I’m not breaking the rules as they are now iyswim.

Yes! Had DD's friend for a sleepover last night and now we are off for Sunday lunch for step fathers birthday, all knowing that next weekend I won't be working back on furlough and we won't be seeing anyone. There's this weird eerie feeling. I kind of wish he has just said starting from now.

@andadietcoke I know it’s not rule breaking as I said in my post, it just still feels a bit like rule breaking was my point.
Anyway, got my hair done and made another appointment for a trim in eight weeks -wonder where we’ll all be by then!
