If you got Covid, was it better or worse than you feared?

Just that.

I feel like if/when it reaches my family (assuming it hasn't already) it's going to be a scary, horrible experience, but of course that isn't the case for many people.

If you definitely had it (with a positive test), was it better or worse than you had thought it was going to be? And how do you feel now it's over? Relieved? Safer?

Fairly mild here. Had it for 2 weeks and was able to wfh most days. Exercise was tricky for a few weeks after but flu was a much worse experience for me.

I didn't notice I had it until I realised I couldn't smell much. No one else I know realised either, even DP, who's a right hyperchondriac and had a very strong antibody response.
However, in getting back my sense of smell, my taste changed and wine still tastes like cabbage, which is sad😂

Better. I had a couple of days when I struggled to get out of bed, but generally was able to potter about and get stuff done. It hurt to breathe - reminded me of when I had cracked ribs - the cough was horrible, and not being able to smell/taste was frustrating.

But I've had "proper flu" before that was a lot worse and had me bed-bound for a fortnight, so by comparison this wasn't too bad. It was March when I had it, and I haven't noticed any long-term side effects.

I was 41 then, and am slim with a healthy BMI and no underlying health conditions.
