Single parent. 2 bubbles?

Can I have a childcare bubble and a support bubble.
My mum and Dad are separated and both live alone. Can my mum be my childcare bubble as she helps out with the kids a lot. But can I also be my Dads support bubble (both single adult households) as hell struggle alone again.

Not officially.

I think you can . I have a support bubble. I may have a separate childcare bubble if needed.

Augustbreeze · 31/10/2020 22:09

Yes I think you can, because the childcare bubble is not a true bubble.

KylieKoKo · 31/10/2020 22:13

I would in your position

Augustbreeze · 31/10/2020 22:58

The guidance specifically say this is allowed, see under childcare:

It’s allowed but you can’t socialise in a childcare bubble. So you could do a support bubble with your dad and socialise with him, and a childcare bubble with your mum but she would only be able to look after your kids, not socialise with you.

Ok glad this is allowed.
If my mums going to look after my kids I’ll still pop into hers, and her into mine as it’s be silly not to if she’s with the kids. But we never really spend that long in each others home in those circumstances anyway. But might occasionally have her round for dinner.
We only see my dad once a week for dinner. Neither of them see anybody else.
If they still lived together it’d be ok so I fail to see it’s much more of a risk anyway.
