Hi Everyone, just wondering where you are and what is happening where you are in regards to covid.
I am in Australia ( not Melbourne or Victoria ) we are still social distancing and not having large gatherings ( although in saying that the AFL final last weekend had a crowd of 37000) . Things are relatively normal here. Like the rest of the world, we are watching and waiting to see what happens.Tell me about where you are.

New Zealand:

No restrictions.
Borders closed to non-residents and incoming residents must stay in a self isolation hotel for 14 days.
Anybody with covid goes to a quarantine facility (ie., a very nice hotel with food and alcohol provided, NOT ‘quarantine camps’ 🤣).
All businesses must display a QR code for track and trace which everybody is encouraged to scan.

All very relaxed really! I think most people here have forgotten how lucky we are and how bad things are elsewhere. Personally I’m keeping a close eye on the UK as I have all my family there, who I’m very worried about

Central Italy.
Schools are still open here. I’ve noticed lots of extra school buses this week - random old coaches and mini buses. Schools are following very strict SD rules, but public transport has been crowded despite extra capacity since they reopened. It’s a small town with no high school and most kids take the bus to other towns, so I guess this is a weak link.

Bars and restaurants are closed after 6pm but you can still get takeaway.

Everyone wears a mask everywhere, including outside. You can’t enter shops etc without one.

A large percentage of secondary teaching is now online though.

Currently tier 1 but announced today we move into tier 2 on Saturday. Not surprised really, cases in my area are shooting up.
The main effect on us will be not being able to see family/friends indoors. It’s getting too cold/wet to do it outdoors now so the likelihood is we won’t be seeing them in person for some time.

Midlands, moving into tier 2 on Saturday.

Although everywhere around us was already tier 2. We were an odd little bubble.
