Does anyone actually know people who have the risk factors ie Asthma, breathing problems or over weight that has tested positive for Covid and made a full recovery?
You hear so much about the bad stories I am interested to hear if there are any good outcomes for high risk people.
We know two couples aged 65+ who have have recently tested positive and are all back to work and fighting fit after their isolation :)

My friends Mam and dad have just recovered. Her Mam has very recently had breast cancer. She has milder symptoms than her husband

Lady aged about 70 who lives near me. Has leukaemia and a heart condition. Had Covid asymptomatically. It was picked up on a routine test before a hospital appointment.

2 others nearby, men in their 80s, died though. One had a condition but was active (caught it on holiday skiing), the other was housebound.

Bmi wise I think it's over 40 that's considered to be at risk.

Me.
I have severe lung disease, very low lung function and I need a double lung transplant. I also have an immune deficiency. I felt pretty rough, not going to lie, but made a good recovery.
Anecdotally, there have been a number of other people with my condition or similar who’ve had covid and recovered.

My DH was hospitalised with pleurisy a few years ago and after reading these stories, that seemed far worse than Covid

My experience of COVID was very similar to my experience with pneumonia a few years ago. Very similar symptoms. It took my 7 weeks to return to work after that due to it taking a while to get the infection to go, it took my a hear before I was totally fine.

It's now been 3 weeks since my first COVID symptoms and so far it's similar, though with added blood pressure issues, I already know that I will end up having at least 4 weeks off work. After that depends on how I'm doing at that time.

I'm really hoping COVID doesn't lead to 7 weeks off work and up to a year of not being fully better. I'm hoping for a full recovery.

But yes - for some people COVID will be mild, and not be as bad as pleurisy or pneumonia. For others it may be worse.
