I have just found out that my dd has two confirmed positive cases in her school bubble (whole year group) and they have been told they need to self-isolate until the week after half term.
My problem is that my dd hasn't actually been in school for two weeks because of an ongoing illness that means she can't manage school very much at the moment.
She can't be a contact via school as she hasn't been there, she met some friends from the same school bubble 7 days ago. She doesn't know who the positive cases are but is sure it isn't anyone she saw last weekend.
I'm now not sure what to do. I have a letter telling me she has to self-isolate based on being a possible contact. School is now closed for half term so there is no-one to contact for advice.
Do you think I am right not to worry about the letter? I don't think she can go back to school until the self isolation period is up as the whole year is off but what do I do about making her self-isolate? Ignore based on no contact with a positive case or get her to self-isolate for two weeks from when she last saw her school friends even though they have only just become a contact themselves?
Sorry if I sound silly, for some reason the letter has thrown me and I am second guessing this evening! Thank you.
