When are Tier 2 areas being reassessed?

I’ve seen a lot of speculation about whether or not certain areas will go into Tier 3 this week, but nothing about Tier 2. I have googled but not found anything.

We are in a Tier 1 area but must be at risk of going into Tier 2 on the basis of the numbers.

Guessing here lot of the essex posters are not far from me.

I'm tier 1 but surrounded on 3 sides by Essex tier 2 yet east Herts is higher oh and my hospital use is Essex

They talk about hospital beds and filling be part of the reason and someone said oh east Herts not got many in hospitals here .

I pointed out that's because east Hertfordshire has no emergency hospital anyway why we mostly go to Essex or North Herts .

It would be much better if they just decided on what number in 100,000 triggers which tier so everyone would know

Basildon figures must be skewed anyway as it's the designated Covid hospital. There was also an outbreak there a couple of weeks ago--21 cases. And seeing as it's Basildon and Thurrock Hospital, of course it has Thurrock patients in it too. Thurrock has the highest per 100,000 again at 118, but leader of the council says it's still far off compared to other Tier 2 areas. So they won't be asking.

And I see that Essex MPs and ECC are now going with the begging bowl to Westminster because Tier 2 is essentially worst of both worlds for hospitality! And it's thanks to them!

The ECC fb page keeps posting wellbeing stuff and people are completely vitriolic in the comments. 🤣 I go through liking them all!

Yes, I thought they were going to do this, but now it has all become totally politicised and lost any clear rationale.
