How to improve health / get back to normal quickly after covid

I have a feeling you are all going to say it’s not possible to rush this, but, is there any way I can get back to normal quickly? Vitamins? Lifestyle choices? Exercise (or not?!)

I’m a single parent, had Covid 3 ish weeks ago and now isolating again as my temperature spiked again last week and after another positive test, I was diagnosed with a chest infection and possible long Covid.

I’m exhausted but I need to get back to ‘normal’ as soon as possible as everything’s on my shoulders. Is there anything I can do to improve my recovery as quickly as possible?

Thank you in advance for any hints Flowers

Hope you feel better soon. I would highly recommend Dr Chattergee’s 5 Pillar Plan book (and his website and podcasts)

It’s really clear holistic approach to lifestyle medicine with a range of suggestions to try that are all very accessible and achievable.

Would it be normal things that help after a nasty virus.

Bed rest, fluids, healthy food. Don't try and do too much to soon. Can you call in any support at all?

4 not 5 sorry!

I had Covid (back in March though so untested). Most helpful things I found were

Breathing exercises (if you have shortness of breath)
High strength manuka honey
Rest as much as possible
High strength vitamin C

Hope you feel better soon Flowers

Ooh I will go and download that book now, thank you @DinoMamasaurus

@flowerycurtain we are isolating again so limited (well, zero) physical support. My son is 8 and his dad is abroad. I’m trying to rest, but home schooling / trying to carry on working / cleaning the house because I’m paranoid about infecting my son is sort of going against that.

It’s silly, but I feel like I’ve forgot how to get better?! It would be good if someone said take x vitamins, eat this, sit in the garden for 28 mins on a full moon and you will feel better by Tuesday..... if only eh?!

I found resting as much as possible really helped, also eating properly. It was tempting to grab something quick because it took a while before I could taste and smell properly, but it was worth eating proper meals. Later, I started exercising, which initially made me feel pretty knackered, but I found that after about a week of short stints, I did feel that I had more energy.

I have a friend who is a virologist who was recommending olive leaf extract to help with symptoms. Might be worth looking into?
