It depends ENTIRELY on where you live.
The MEN couldn't get this data for Greater Manchester NHS Trusts but this does NOT mean that you can't get it for your area.
I have found that some places this information is available.
There are three places to check:
Firstly some NHS trusts are publishing their covid case status on their own website.
Secondly, and probably your best place to check, is your local newspaper. Not all places have good local newspaper coverage but this seems to be the easiest place to find local information about this.
Thirdly, some councils are randomly publishing this data as part of their reporting on covid in the local area - but again this is patchy. For example you have Durham and Darlington which have full detail on this, but if you are in Hartlepool the council don't appear to even know there is a pandemic on and are seemingly in complete denial about covid.
So, unfortunately I can't give you a good answer to this question.
I think this data should be easily accessible and in the public domain across the country, but unfortunately there are a lot of people playing silly buggers over this.
From what I've read tonight, the only place with a very pressing issue in England is Liverpool. They are still early into contigency planning though - its serious and compounded by geographical issues and staffing problems - but its not hospitals overwhelmed stage yet either (and there is a little way to go til that though the point must be made that we don't want to get there either).
But yeah. This subject has fucked me off rather a lot tonight. Too much bollocks not enough transparency.
