Just wondering how many people there are actually walking around with symptoms who are not testing??? I only ask because when I was in the queue at the supermarket today there was a lady behind me not social distancing from me at all talking very quietly on her phone (with no mask) which made me intrigued to try and hear what she was talking about, the quieter and more suspicious her talking the harder i tried to listen!!!!The words I particularly heard where "you must not say anything to anyone or half term will be ruined. If it comes back positive we will all be doomed. If you dose up on all this you will work through it!!! Therefore I had a quick g;lance at her shopping 2 boxes of paracetamol some cough mixture and a thermometer!!!!

Lots probably especially if people can be fined now. They might decide just to isolate without a test or not bother and just keep schtum. That’s what happens when you try and criminalise and punish people rather than supporting them

My neighbour had symptoms last week. He said he was considering getting a test, but then was told that even if he got a negative test he would have to isolate until all symptoms had gone, so didn't bother testing. Symptoms were gone a day later so it was most likely just some 24 hour thing but, he went back into work at this stage, and said that was following the rules. Don't think thats right though. But at the same time, I know hes hugely skint so probably cannot afford to take 2 weeks ff for what appeared to be a 24 hour bug.

A friend of my mums apparently went into work a few days back with a horrendous cough. Had came on the day before, she rang to get time off. Couldn't get cover so had been told to go in anyway. This is in healthcare also Shock She said she was pissed off, as if she had managed to get a test on the afternoon that she tried to, she wouldn't have been made to go in, but as she could't book a test, she was pressured. Mind, not sure why she reckons they wouldn't have pressured her if she had a test, if they were willing to with symptoms..

Shes had a test now and was negative though. But thats not really the point!

If I felt ill with Covid symptoms I would self isolate but would not test

His wife obviously had symptoms to get a test so maybe he shouldn't have mixed himself and his son with 15 other kids (and assistant manager) for two hours, until she got her result. It wasn't even essential contact, and the game could have still gone ahead.
Bit of common sense wouldn't go amiss.
