Garden Yoga

My yoga teacher intends to hold one of her classes in her garden as her studio is being used for a private event. We are in a Tier 2 risk area and have not been able to mix with other households since July, inside or outside . Do you think she will be ‘allowed’ to do this. I don’t want to get in to trouble if someone complains.

I am in tier 2 and doing a weekly yoga class indoors with as many people as can fit in a pleasing 2m between each crammed in. Why would you not be able to do it in the garden?
As far as I understand it, it is only social mixing that has restrictions.

In the high alert tier exercise classes can take place outside. Inside looks a bit more up in the air though.

I think it's OK as it's not classed as socialising

I've been attending outdoor fitness classes since they were first able to function in June..

It's outside.
It should be 2m soacing, quite easy when it's contained to a yoga mat.
Equipment needs to be managed sensibly, again easy if everyone has their own mat.
Very low risk and far outweighed by the physical and social benefits.

Interesting that meeting up to do yoga is not classed as socialising but meeting someone for a chat is.

@JayAlfredPrufrock

Interesting that meeting up to do yoga is not classed as socialising but meeting someone for a chat is.
Why? Confused

My yoga group is very sociable, in that we’re all good friends and in non-Covid times we sometimes meet up for meals/drinks. I’m sure that’s true of many running groups, cycling clubs, Zumba classes, etc., too.

But I don’t see why it’d be classed as ‘socialising’ in the same way that meeting up for a chat is. The primary purpose of attending is the yoga/running/cycling/etc., and the chatting at the start/end is incidental.
